I thought the white feather against a dark background might look pretty cool.
This immature bald eagal was splashing in the water at Sullivan Lake, having a bath. Reached for my camera in my kayak - oops the camera was still in the truck. Fast paddle back and by then he/she had hopped up on a log.
I thought this Calla Lily lent itself well to a simple black and white shot.
Geese leaving a field at sunset. Loved the silhouette of the geese and the soft pastel color of the sky.
Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly!
Looks like the crab spider has a nice meal with leftovers for the future.
Father and daughter - special times
I saw these two fishing just before sunset and memories flooded back to when my girls were about that age and we would go fishing. Precious times!
Mr. and Mrs. Shadows
Long shadows on an evening hike.
Canada Geese at Sunset
I loved how the sunset colors were reflecting off of the geese. I also liked the colored clouds in the background.
Apple Blossom Time in Otis Orchards
Yup, that time of year. Apples, Cherries, Plums, and Pears are in full bloom.
Vestige of old brick work by the falls. A brick layer's craftsmanship who is long gone.
I have lived in the Spokane Valley and Otis Orchards areas most of my life. I have had photography as one of my hobbies since junior high and I love the challenge of trying to take the perfect photo and one day I may get there. I am a biologist by education and worked in that field for many years. I was in a management position with an agri-business/natural resources company. I am currently retired.
